It depends! At times stars align and we can meet immediately, and other times, it can be 3-4 weeks or longer. You can check my soonest availability for a first session here!
If you’d like to get in touch asap, I hold availability for 20-minute phone consultations (free of charge) every day.
At this point, I am not affiliated with insurance companies for a number of reasons. Paying privately allows you greater flexibility and freedom in choosing health care without the insurance company dictating a treatment plan. Additionally, when paid privately, you don’t need to receive a mental health diagnosis and don’t need to prove that a treatment is a medical necessity.
I mainly use bank transfers and send invoices bi-anually or upon request. If preferred, payment in cash is also possible.
All of our conversations (including our online correspondence) are strictly confidential and can only be shared with a third party only upon receiving a permission from you.
In counseling, the focus is on exploring the emotional sources of a specific problem to find ease, whereas coaching is directed more towards creating positive change in your life by learning skills and taking healthy steps.
Sustainable positive change includes both counseling and coaching since most issues we face have both an emotional component we might need to work through, and a learning aspect where new skills/coping mechanisms replace the old ones.
Neurodiversity is an inclusionary approach that explains the differences in human brains in a non-pathologizing way in order to best support them. This is an approach I follow, which aims to accept and compassionately “work with” the minds we have in order to address challenges and bring out strengths in accordance with mental diversity without pathologizing.
